This is one of the most spectacular advances in
recent dental history. Instead of the conventional drill, the
dentist aims a stream of tiny particles and air at the area of
decay and literally blows away the cavity. Most of the patients
who experience this procedure require no anesthesia. Air abrasion
is used extensively on children.
