Our Smile Analysis appointment is a special exam
for patients interested in a more attractive smile. We first discuss
with you exactly what aspect of your smile you'd like to improve.
Next, your smile is analyzed in the following areas: length of
teeth, shape, arrangement, color, gum line level and the teeth
to lip relationship. Photos are taken of your smile, and finally
we do our cosmetic imaging.
Cosmetic Imaging
In cosmetic imaging, we take a digital photograph
of your face and a close-up of your smile. We then have you look
at our "smile catalogue" and select a smile that you
feel is the most attractive and that you would like to have. We
then manipulate the computer image of your smile and face and
place the smile design you chose onto the image of your face.
This allows us to determine in advance if a certain smile design
will be compatible with your facial features. We can then make
suggestions and recommendations about what would be the most attractive
smile design for you. With this great technology, patients can
"preview" in advance what is possible with a smile makeover.
